Off topic, but I'm confused in figuring out the standards for closing topics in this forum. I've seen threads with much lower tone, fewer personal attacks and cleaner language being called useless bickering and closed.
I don't mean anyone personally, and I can be wrong, but to me it seems like if the people involved are not moderators and expressing reasonable argument against an IV goal or IV practice it's quickly a target for closing. While if a moderator is involved and has enough supporters to overpower the other party, the thread is kept open with no problem even though it's the same level of bickering and insult exchange.

This might be an error but is causing problems and Inconvenience and injustice to some innocent people. You can call it as jealousy. That is alright but they have an issue which they need to fight. Currently NSC processing time for employment based 485 is 15th Sept. 2007... My notice date is 18th Sept. 2007 (based on case status shown on USCIS site)
Looks like I am going to miss my GC by 3 days and wait till next year :mad: I highly doubt that dates will stay at 2005 during next month bulletin.. (I truly hope I am wrong!)
Published dates are approximate dates for a ball park idea on where cases are for minimizing phone calls. If published date is Sep 8, 2007. It could have a very wide window of reality between (i) someone has looked at least one case of this date, or (ii) All cases upto this date have been seen. Most likely reality is close to first, as USCIS asks you to contact them if your 'receive notice date' is prior to the published date (suggesting that normally they expect all cases by the date should have been processed).

Thanks for all your advice and understanding. I could not post earlier as we were busy following up the case with the authorities. I have two lawyers on board and a wonderful, unexpected, child abuse NGO person helping us deal with the situation. Most importantly, the baby is in perfect condition after having everything scanned and reviewed with two pediatricians�.it is possible, as one person helping us mentioned that the rough handling may appear exaggerated on the video bcos low resolution cameras sometimes exaggerate slower movements into sudden and forceful movements (I don�t fully understand)- which is also ok w/ me as my child having been safe is more imp to me....at the minimum she will be deported and barred from entry, or likely fully convicted and behind bars...from what I have heard till now, we will likely not be penalized as there are some protection and immunities in these cases for those who testify (and most certainly INS will never be involved)�and at most there may be some fines�
....and to some others who have misread a few things I mentioned: a/ the baby did not remain with the nanny for even a second after we suspected something fishy b/ we were not saving money with this nanny: 350$ (plus food, commute, and phone cards is above average here even for a legal worker. Also we selected her after observing her (and earlier another nanny) at home for 2 weeks with the baby while my mom-in-law was there and all of us had felt for some reason that she was the better one��..and to everybody with kids: no matter how much you trust your nanny, however well referenced they are- use a nannycam�.you may amazed at what you see�.there is something about having the whole house to yourself with an infant that makes some people crazy- so that their suppressed anger/envy and whatever else is hidden comes out on a poor speechless baby.

ya, lets step-up a poll and have everyone vote, as if this is the US congress. And after voting leave it for someone else to work on this and other "brilliant" idea. There needs to be a reality check. This poll doesn't mean anything unless there are enough people to spend time and energy at every level. IV represents the skilled legal immigrant community in general and not immigrants from only one country. Doing this defeats our own cause and divides us. Thanks for your suggestion. But the problem is its not that simple. Here is why. If the same individual create multiple IDs on IV and post using multiple IDs, one for posting derogatory comments and others that are not derogatory, we can keep mum to a point, but then it just gets too frustrating. Like in this case, madhuvj and GCStatus is the same person posting from the same machine but posting as if you are two different individuals. Hence my posts. Please stop this and email/pm us your phone number and we will start the transition process. We are sure you will do a better job than us.
You see, just like everyone else, we also have limited number of hours in a day. We can either spend our time looking at who is using multiple forum ids to post similar messages creating a false impression for other forum visitor, like the one projected in 'if i can be blunt' thread, or we can spend our time doing better things. You can (and probably) should get an advice from a lawyer about any implications to your GC journey here, just so that you are prepared for it. But letting this person go unchecked is not something you can afford.
Many corporations do not have enough resources to find out whether or not they are hiring legal employees. Even the republican candidates for presidency discussed this on stage in their debates that a person cannot check legal employability of everyone they hire. Many of us hire and pay incash for yard work, house maids etc. without checking if they are allowed to work in US. It's mainly the employee's responsibility to make sure they are allowed to legally work in US. That's why EVerify is voluntary and not a compulsion yet.

Instead of processing them according to the priority dates, they started processing them randomly (although the claim is that they process them according to received dates which is neither true not justified even if it was true) causing people who have been waiting for years(Many of them since 2003 or 2003) to not get their green card and the people who had their priority dates as late as 2006 were issued the green cards.
2. In the middle of August, they unofficially put the processing on hold (no official announcement to prevent the situation/lawsuit as the last year).
3. The customer service is totally inconsistent in giving individual answers. We get different answers at different times and most of them are either incomplete or unsatisfying. They also direct us to write letter to the service center directly which results in the response asking us to check website or call 1.800 number none of which again inform the real status of the case. In other words, it is a never ending loop.
Please help us in resolving the problem as you did last year.
